I don't have any favourite song in particular; songs take turns being my favourites. Currently, I'm listening a lot to Korean indie band Nell's Healing Process album, and the tracks I really like are Good Night, Counting Pulses, Yearning, Meaningless, and 치유. I'm also addicted to Super Junior's Heartquake, (covers of) Butterfly Graveyard and 7 Years of Love, and KoyaPi's duet Ginza Rhapsody. Recently I've also started listening to OneRepublic's Waking Up album; all the tracks sound really good :D
I guess songs that have remained constant favourites are oldies like He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, or jazz stuff like The Way You Look Tonight, or jpop stuff like Mr. Children's HANABI and X Japan's The Last Song, or cpop stuff like Jay Chou's 不能说的秘密. I don't know, my tastes in music are far and wide and I have way too many favourites to name.
With no presentation or quiz to worry about. And the girls to meet tonight.
This is the life. Except for the dead baby cockroach in my kitchen sink that I'm too terrified to remove.
Anyway, went to Dempsey Hill on Tuesday to celebrate Bren's 21st birthday (again) and the place was so pretty, I took lots of photos with Bren's little black camera. They turned out just as pretty as I anticipated them to be. I should totally go there more often; who's willing to date me out to Dempsey Hill and pay for half my food bill? I know most of you are. Line up, please. :D
Anyway, photos under the cut. :D Singapore can sometimes be so pretty.
I feel happy today :D
One of my favourite passages from Anne of Green Gables:
Anne said, "I have come to the conclusion that it is no use trying to be romantic in Avonlea. It was probably easy enough in towered Camelot hundreds of years ago, but romance is not appreciated now. I feel quite sure that you will soon see a great improvement in me in this respect, Marilla."
"I'm sure I hope so," said Marilla skeptically.
But Matthew, who had been sitting mutely in his corner, laid a hand on Anne's shoulder when Marilla had gone out.
"Don't give up all your romance, Anne," he whispered shyly, "a little of it is a good thing - not too much, of course - but keep a little of it, Anne, keep a little of it."

Let's all remember never to forget to see the little romances in life :)
My mother is normally a sane and intelligent woman. But, like all sane and intelligent people, she has her fits of craziness. And this was what happened as I stood at the mirror applying eyeliner...
I call this "Records of a Strangely Hyper Mum".
Me: I can never get the eyeliner to look nice on my eyes.
Mum: You have nice eyes. Thank God you got it from my side instead of your dad's. Imagine ending up looking like your aunts.
You'll look like someone punched you in the face. (explanation: my dad's side does have a tendency to end up with very puffy panda eyes which I have a horror of inheriting)
[in the kitchen]
Mum: I NEED TO BUY ONIONS
HA HA HA HA~
[five minutes later]
Mum: I need a pink bag because I'm wearing pink today. I can't have a bag that doesn't suit, right?
This is ter-ri-ble! HA HA HA HA HA~
[three minutes later]
Mum: I can't find my bag!
Me: Just carry your black one.
Mum: How can I do that!
[climbs onto chair to find bag]
Mum: But this pink doesn't go with the pink that I'm wearing. So I'll have to change the inside.
HA HA HA HA HA~
I think I'm going mad very soon. It's just a matter of time.
...I'm glad she knows? XD
My friend pimped it to me this morning and...ugh. I am so glad that I have discovered Korean music <3
Needless to say, I was first at the table to get food because I was hungry and the food looked good, okay.
Bren was also very pretty and cute in her would-be rocker clothes and I just wanted to glomp her and mess her hair up (though the wind was already doing that adequately). It was also extremely hot and there was an angmoh man strolling around in short short SHORT shorts with a tear in them. Joyce said the tear looked like a slit that qipao usually has, how very sexy. It scarred my psychological self because he was directly in my line of vision most of the time.
We also attempted some frisbee and volleyball but quickly gave up when the ball flew through the air and nearly incapacitated a very nice man standing nearby.
All in all, it was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon :D the only regret is that I didn't manage to smash the pretty cake into Bren's face.
Geri and Pate, I think I'm going to forget your faces if you continue ignoring me :(
But the blog will be completely public now, so you girls don't have to add me or anything to read what I have to say :D I've also changed the comment settings to 'everybody' so you don't have to log into livejournal either to leave a comment :)
Please to be checking back to my lj for details of my breathtakingly interesting life, kthnx.
